We had a trip over to Scarborough where we had lunch and a walk through Peasholm Park, Northstead Manor Gardens and to Scalby before returning along the sea front. We then drove over to Goathland for an afternoon walk. Details of the photos are appended below.

January's Pictures
Last year my friend Gary Richardson from the North East completed a "Year of Pictures". This gave me an idea to do the same and therefore at the end of each month I will post a set of pictures taken each day throughout the month.
1st Jan - River at Ilkley
2nd Jan - Christmas Lights on Otley's Buttercross
3rd Jan - Our Christmas tree prior to taking it down
4th Jan - The new Royal Saffron Indian Restaurant in Otley
5th Jan - The River Wharfe at Otley
6th Jan - I had been over to Lancashire on business and on the way back stopped to photograph Halifax from the M62
7th Jan - Another snowfall at work
8th Jan - New ramps being installed at the front of Church
9th Jan - Parade Service in the Wesley Hall whilst the Church is out of action for the building work
10th Jan - Bushes at work
11th Jan - Otley Library at night
12th Jan - Tree in Holbeck Park, Leeds
13th Jan - Inspection at one of our tenant's properties in Leeds
14th Jan - I had been to do a talk in Durham and photographed the river and Cathedral at night
15th Jan - New foyer at Church nearing completion with Julian our Minister checking it out
16th Jan - Twelve Tribes of Israel - The theme for our Sunday morning service
17th Jan - New cage for our aerosols at work
18th Jan - I was on my First Aid course and these are the dummies used for recussitation practice
19th Jan - The new Red Cross building in Leeds
20th Jan - Red Cross Vehicle
21st Jan - The Church Stewards have an annual meal in January each year. Julian is getting ready to serve the curry!
22nd Jan - Workmen painting the Church doors
23rd Jan - Polyanthus in the garden
24th Jan - Induction training for new staff at work
25th Jan - The new Gateway building on East Street in Leeds
26th Jan - I went down to East Anglia on busienss and on the way back called at Friday Bridge to see an old friend Ian King who is quite a famous watercolour artist
27th Jan - My second week at Slimming World that I had joined due to putting on weight after my illness and operation last year
28th Jan - I have started a daily walk each lunchtime as part of my new exercise regime. This is on the estate about ¼ mile from work
29th Jan - First snowdrops in the garden
30th Jan - First service back in the refurbished Church so we did a photoshoot for the local paper
31st Jan - First catkins on the trees near work
