When he was at University, Matthew had studied about the history of Offa's Dyke as part of his course on medievil history.
Because we had been unable to find traces of this when we visited the Ewyas valley, we went down to Monmouth and drove up to the Kymin, an area owned by the National Trust where Offa's Dyke is much more clearly defined. Also here is a building called "The Roundhouse", whose name is quite appropriate when you see it.
