On 14th May I went up to the Lake District to take part in the Wainwright Society's annual challenge. This year it was to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of "The Grand Tour" that Alfred Wainwright undertook with 3 friends from the Borough Treasurer's office at Blackburn Town Hall in 1931.
I had chosen to visit two locations on the tour, the Straits of Riggindale and the summit of Angletarn Pikes, both in the Far Eastern Fells area of the Lake District. Below are pictures from the day.
